Imagine having no clean water in your home, or even nearby...
Our goal is to create a permanent, clean water supply in the Las Minas village area of San Jose Chacaya Guatemala! This is an area where 90% of the indigenous population suffer from intestinal issues. With site hydrologic evaluation work completed and a driller and project manager selected, we are ready to go! The funds raised will support the construction of a solar powered pumphouse, a chlorination-based treatment system, training of a local worker for long term water supply program management, water filling stations and the development of an ongoing water quality monitoring program. Due to the remote mountainside location, geology and equipment needs in Guatemala and our plans to take this construction opportunity to add solar panels to the configuration (to provide energy to the Community Center in addition to the well), the cost is estimated to be $88,000
Clean water... we can provide this... join us and be a part of this life changing (and lifesaving) project!
