Be a part of it! Education, Malnutrition Prevention, Jobs and Medical support.
We are so excited to hear that apprenticing workers are back on site! This amazing project is already creating a positive community impact by training workers in skilled construction practices, using the purchase of local goods to stimulate the economy, and creating ancillary jobs and benefits. The medical clinic, libary, malnutrition support programs and classrooms that it will house are in even more desperate need now with the health threats from COVID, loss of work, and closure of schools.
Basic health and employment are difficult in Guatemala during the best of times, and with volunteering and tourism trips unable to operate, all rural areas are in need. Getting the roof on the community center is a major step in furthering the health and futures of children and families in this area. Be a part of it!
